Preparations and farewell Vienna - Santiago de los Caballeros

Dear all,
I'm off again to deepen my knowledge of cigars. It's time once again to combine theory with practice. I'll be in the Dominican Republic for the next ten days and will be "helping out" at Arnold André Dominicana. In any case, I hope that I'm not just holding up operations.
I took in the cold, pre-Christmas air of Vienna again, fortified myself with a sausage, then went home to pack, which Max the dog successfully boycotted. He also wanted to snatch my souvenirs. You can see it in the movie.
From Vienna via Frankfurt we went to Puerto Plata, then over the mountains to Santiago de los Caballeros with a driver who would have attached Alonso, Vettel and co.
And that's where I am now and I'll be reporting to you daily on what I see and learn.
Liebe Katja, was für ein spannendes Abenteuer! Die Vorfreude und auch der kleine Abschiedsschmerz aus einer Stadt wie Wien sind so greifbar in deinem Beitrag. Gerade in dieser Phase der Vorbereitung ist eine ruhige Umgebung Gold wert, um den Kopf freizubekommen. Der ständige Lärmpegel einer Großstadt kann da sehr an den Nerven zehren. Ich habe für mich entdeckt, dass man mit ein paar interessanten Lösungen zu Hause Oasen der Stille schaffen kann.
Die Kunst der Ruhe vor der Reise
Ständiger Lärm ist nicht nur störend, er ist ein Stressfaktor, der die Konzentration mindert und die Erholung stört. Gerade vor einer langen Reise, wenn man Packlisten im Kopf durchgeht und letzte organisatorische Dinge erledigt, kann eine Reduzierung des Umgebungslärms wahre Wunder…
